Policemen have confirmed that a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman are facing charges related to the crash. Jamie Fountain, from Fir Tree Close, Flitwick, is accused of causing death by careless driving and of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He also faces two counts of causing serious injury through careless driving. Additionally, he has been charged with failing to stop at the accident scene, not reporting the incident, and conspiring to obstruct justice.

Ellie Ireland, from Wingate Drive, Ampthill, has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Both individuals are scheduled to appear in Luton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
