Virgin Atlantic unveils its revamped lounge at Heathrow – with new cinema, work pods and SPA

Virgin Atlantic Unveils Revamped Lounge at Heathrow with Cinema, Work Pods, and Spa

Virgin Atlantic has launched a redesigned Clubhouse at London Heathrow, now incorporating a cinema, VIP zones, and a spa with curated treatments. The transformation marks the initial phase of a larger project aimed at enhancing the customer experience through luxurious upgrades and tailored services.

Exclusive Royal Box Experience

Drawn from the airline’s Los Angeles Clubhouse concept, the London facility introduces a new Royal Box. This invite-only area simulates a private theater setting, offering a secluded escape with panoramic views of the runway and premium seating in Virgin’s signature red.

Work Pods for Productivity

Alongside the VIP space, the Clubhouse now includes two dedicated Work Pod studios. These private workspaces feature integrated power outlets, modern desk setups, and illuminated ‘on air’ indicators to show availability. They also showcase studio-style artwork, such as framed vinyl records, honoring Virgin Records’ heritage.

Enhanced Gallery with Panoramic Views

The Gallery, a highly sought-after area within the Clubhouse, has undergone a redesign to optimize space and elevate its views of the runway. The layout now prioritizes comfort and functionality, with warm brass accents and bespoke design elements inspired by London’s transport history.

Wellness Innovations

Guests can now access two pop-up wellness initiatives, including three immersive Somadomes, which are the first of their kind globally. These self-guided domes incorporate light therapy, color, sound healing, and binaural beats to create a serene environment for relaxation and mental rejuvenation within 20 minutes. Secret Spa is also offering treatments, such as express massages, facials, and manicures, available until April 30. The new Seoul route is highlighted by access to OSKIA skincare, OPI nail products, and K-beauty brand services through the Secret Spa team.

“The Clubhouse is an iconic part of the Virgin Atlantic experience, and we’re proud to be unveiling a bold new chapter at Heathrow. This investment reflects our commitment to continually innovating for our customers, combining wellbeing, entertainment, and distinctive design in a way only Virgin Atlantic can. And this is just the beginning—with even more exciting plans to come, including new ways for guests to make the most of plane spotting while soaking up the London sunshine from our roof terrace,” said Juha Jaervinen, Chief Customer Officer, Virgin Atlantic.
