Murder Arrest Over Primrose Hill Stabbing
A 27-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing occurred in Primrose Hill. The incident, which took place on Tuesday, left Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old filmmaking student, dead at the scene. Police responded to reports of a confrontation in the area, where Sullivan was discovered with severe injuries. A second individual, a man in his 20s, was also found with stab wounds but is expected to recover without long-term harm.
Authorities arrested both suspects on Friday, with the 25-year-old charged for aiding the perpetrator. Detective Inspector Andy Griffin emphasized the ongoing efforts to identify all parties involved, stating, “My officers continue to work tirelessly to trace everyone connected to the incident.” He also expressed solidarity with Sullivan’s family, noting they are receiving support from specialized teams during this challenging period.
“Although we’ve made two arrests, the investigation is far from complete. Residents can anticipate heightened police activity in the coming days as patrols intensify in the neighborhood,” Griffin added.
The police urged members of the public to share any information or video footage from the area on the day of the attack. With the case still under review, further details about the suspects or the circumstances may emerge in the days ahead.
