A 30-year-old woman, Ivanna Ortiz, has been charged with attempted murder after firing shots at Rihanna’s Los Angeles home while the pop star was inside. The incident occurred when Ortiz fired at least 10 rounds from her vehicle, targeting the property across the street. She fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after by law enforcement.

Ortiz, from Florida, was arrested in her white Tesla approximately eight miles from the location. She is currently held on $10,200,000 (£7.6m) bail. When officers stopped her, they discovered an assault rifle and seven spent casings in her car, as stated by an LAPD spokesperson:

“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings.”
